Login issues

Forgot password, locked account, "invalid credentials", missing verification email — the common login problems and how to fix each.

Quick answer

Most login failures are: typo in the email, a Google-signup account being attempted with email + password, or a locked account from too many wrong attempts (waits 15 minutes). Reset password works for almost everything else.

If you can sign in to other apps but not Daybreak, the issue is almost always one of the four cases below.

Forgot password

Go to the login page

Click 'Forgot password?'

Enter the email address you signed up with.

Enter the reset code

Check your inbox for a 6-digit code from [email protected]. Type it in.

Set a new password

8+ chars, upper + lower + digit. Don't reuse one from another site.

If the email doesn't arrive within 5 minutes, check spam and request a new code. If it still doesn't arrive, your account might be tied to a Google sign-in (see below) or a different email — contact [email protected].

"Invalid credentials"

The error is intentionally vague to avoid revealing which accounts exist. Common causes:

  • Typo in the email. Silent #1 cause.
  • Caps Lock on for the password. Passwords are case-sensitive.
  • You signed up with Google. Click Continue with Google instead — there's no email/password combo on file.
  • You actually forgot the password. Use Forgot password.

Account locked

After 5 wrong attempts in a row, we lock the account for 15 minutes. This is rate-limiting, not a permanent lockout.

  • Wait 15 minutes and try again, or
  • Reset your password — successfully resetting clears the lock.

If you're being locked repeatedly without typing wrong, see common issues for cookie/session fixes.

"Email not verified"

Your account exists but you didn't enter the verification code at signup.

Click 'Resend verification code'

On the login page after the error appears.

Enter the code

Check email + spam. Codes expire after 15 minutes; request a new one if needed.

Signed up with Google

If you originally clicked Continue with Google at signup, there's no password on file. You must sign in with Google.

  • The login page's email/password form will always say "invalid credentials" for these accounts.
  • Use the same Google account you signed up with — accounts are per-Google-address.

Multiple accounts

If you suspect you have two accounts (one with email + one with Google), email [email protected] with both addresses. We can merge them — your data from both is preserved.

Common pitfalls

Third-party cookies blocked

Sign-in uses cross-subdomain cookies. If your browser blocks them for daybreakpath.com, you'll get redirect loops or "session expired" errors. Allow cookies for daybreakpath.com (and subdomains) in your browser settings.

Browser auto-fill picking the wrong account

Password managers sometimes auto-fill an old or different account. Click the email field and manually type the address you want before letting the manager fill the password.

Still locked out

Email [email protected] from the address on the account. Include:

  • Your account email.
  • One identifying detail (rough signup date, payment method last 4, etc.) — helps us verify it's actually you.

We respond within 24 hours.
